I have a very hard time writing at this particular blog. Considering that I just placed 149 posts at 149 other blogs and sites, well that says something. The reason that I am having such a hard time posting at this blog is because of what is currently unfolding and the true reasons why.

It wasn't suppose to be this way, and it shouldn't have come to this.

The Little Prayer Room

Some years back prior to the purchase of the buildings there was a small prayer room that was located near the front entrance of the church's main building. There was 24/7 access to that particular room and many would come and pray daily and throughout the night. Each Saturday night and Sunday prior to services there would be a small group that would gather, worship the Lord and pray. There was something about that particular prayer room that was special. Of course today there are many rooms set aside for prayer at different times and they too are special. Yet for me, I have never forgot the gatherings, times, worship and prayers that took place in that little prayer room.

The Day We Claimed The Land

Well actually that was first birthed in much prayer. However I recall the day we walked the property as a congregation praising God, shouting, singing and driving stakes into all four corners that surrounded the property. At the time the congregation was renting two buildings.

Today we own three of four, almost the entire block. I've never forgot that day.

VCC Monday Night Home Fellowship

Thinking back I recall the Monday night fellowships that were held at the Pastor's home. What a blessing they were each Monday night. Anywhere from 40 to 50 would gather, sometimes more. The entire living room, dinning room, kitchen, even the doorways and hallway were transformed into a house of worship, as many would gather.

The Pastor's wife who is such a blessing to know would lead us in worship, as songs of love, praise, and adoration would rise up to heaven. Like a building crescendo of praise, worship, adoration and prophetic song. The love, brotherly love, sisterly love and compassion that filled the room was breathtaking.

I will share more about this in the near future because having a home fellowship is truly a wonderful thing to do, partake in and experience. Especially when all gather together in one accord, seeking hard after God in prayer, worship and unity.

Friends Of The Bridegroom

I have chosen the title "Friends Of The Bridegroom" as just one of the many ways I would describe the flock of God at VCC. One of the reasons why is that when I first started attending this flock many years ago, I was approached by a brother in the Lord that received me as the same and said "You are among friends. Friends of the Bridegroom".

Those words meant allot to me for the following reasons.

1) I received healing from past situations when those words were spoken to me.
2) The love of God was lavishly poured out upon me as those words were spoken to me.
3) At that time, the Song of Songs was one of my favorite books of the bible.
4) It was conformation from God regarding revelation that would continue to unfold in my life.

Blogging About VCC

Over the years. I have come across many blogs and sites where members of various churches share their experiences while attending a particular congregation. Kind of like a on going diary or account that unfolds over the years. I think that's a good idea.

Therefore I have decided to create various blogs around various situations that I have encountered, witnessed and experienced while attending Vineyard Community Church over the past seven years.

With over 150 separate ministry sites and blogs within the network, I know this will make interesting reading for many on a national and international basis with regards to manifestations of the spirit, the chrismatic movement, the prophetic ministry and other. The cool part will be the application of scripture to each post.

The purpose. To apply the word of Truth to various situations, circumstances and encounters.

Knowing that I will receive many emails and questions. I will attempt to answer each email in a timely maner. For those of you that wish to comment, all comments will be moderated before being posted in order to weed out the debates.
